We are seeking a skilled and business-oriented Legal Counsel to join our client’s team in Delhi. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in corporate and commercial law, with at least two years of exposure to the manufacturing industry. You will provide legal advice, ensure compliance, and mitigate risks while supporting day-to-day business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal guidance on corporate, commercial, and contractual matters to support business operations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate agreements, including vendor contracts, supply agreements, NDAs, MoUs, and service agreements.
- Advise on regulatory compliance, licensing, and statutory obligations related to manufacturing and industrial operations.
- Support HR, procurement, and other departments with employment law, labour regulations, and compliance matters.
- Oversee dispute resolution, litigation, and arbitration, coordinating with external counsel as required.
- Conduct legal risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Assist with company secretarial work, corporate governance, and board-related matters, where applicable.
- Keep abreast of legal and regulatory developments affecting the business and provide training to internal stakeholders.
- Liaise with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and industry associations as necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university; LL.M. is an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience, including at least 2 years in the manufacturing sector.
- Sound knowledge of Indian corporate, commercial, labour, and regulatory laws.
- Strong experience in contract drafting, negotiation, and dispute management.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and business acumen.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to compliance management systems and legal technology tools.
- Experience handling IP matters, environmental compliance, or industrial licensing is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
